Hi!
I believe ”finger staccato” is quite widely used method for making passages clean or activating and strengthening fingers. I am just wondering here that how well does it fit to Alan’s method? Obviously you can do it more with fingertips or more with knuckles. I assume that Alan would suggest using latter or first combinated with latter. At least for start. If your hand is well organized and knows how to use metacarpal power or arch, then it’s possible to explore with curving mainly or solely fingertips. Am I right here? Good mental image for finger staccato is plucking strings, playing guitar for example.
