Hi Alan & fellow students of the piano, here is my take on op25 12: I am just starting out with the book Craft of Piano playing, it is certainly very different from what I have been used to for all these years, I am optimistic that I can make further progress as the years go on, my problem used to be raising my shoulders when playing and I have to try and sort that out. All the best, Neil

Hello Neil, Sorry I didn't respond earlier, didn't realize this new post was in. Your playing has good sonority and stability, and sometimes the r.h. thumb melody comes out enough - but more often, you need to work on it really sounding more distinctly - like trombones.... The other problem is tempo, which here is quite ambulatory. It will be interesting to discover, when you pick the tempo up by degrees, what begins to fall apart. At this point I think you will be opening the Pandora's Box of how to develop the strength and velocity of the hand through a judicious use of the arch structures plus a vigourous activation from that most potent of places, the inner depths of the palm... Let us know how you get on! AFF
