Fingers Position

hello, I read a lot about the difference between curved and flat fingers and I still seem to have a problem understanding if curved fingers are used more for a tone Mozart-like,and if so why? is it beacase the bones are aligned different than in flat fingers, therefore the tone is less harsh? My misunderstanding continues when using the curved fingers in Bach playing,so how come that position is used in both Mozart and Bach? thank a lot

Flat fingers are more powerful, curved are more agile. You may find yourself using flat or curved in Bach, Mozart, Beethoven, Chopin, Liszt, or Rachmaninoff. It all depends on the sound you want. A stylistic "limitation" doesn't necessarily imply a technical limitation. AFF
