Chords

HELLO, I have been trying to figure this out but i cant seem to find the answer-I fully understand the role of the active fingers when playing-but why not (for big chords) use a little bit of the wrist down and up motion with combination of the grasping motion of the fingers? using the wrist a bit-seems to aid the playing of chords is that wrong? Thanks

I don't know what you mean by using the wrist. The wrist might want to move a bit in response to the fingers' vital action, but I don't see how waving it around is going to help matters. Horowitz said he played octaves from the wrist, when it is pretty sure that he didn't - so subjective experience is also a question here. AFF
