The Discussion Boards

Hey everybody,

As you can see, we have a discussion board at our disposal now. The core is coming from the old forum that was badly damaged some time ago. I had to clean it up and rebuild from scratch and this is what I came up with. It's very basic and easy to use.

Please note that:

• The old database was heavily damaged and I basically had to nullify any old users and their posts. Also, many posts had to be cleaned up from all sort of junk.
• Any new posts and topics will be propperly asigned to their respectable creators from now on.
• Only logged in users can post, anybody can read.
• The home view (page) displays latest active topics. Also, each channel will show the latest activity at the top.
• The number you see next to each topic on the home page is the number of replies each topic has received so far.
• I will keep working on it and adding features as we go. Things like notifications on new posts, search, best answer and such..
• This is custom software, things might look weird or brake

Of course, please let me know if you run into any issues.

Best,

Jovan

This is cool!

Hi!

forum is a great addition to Pianotechnique.org!

Few technical things to mention:

First time when I used it, I had trouble with ”navigating”, cursor was in wrong place. I was using iPhone. With mac I did not have similar issues. Also it seems that sometimes you don’t get a bigger letter when you start a new sentence.

Thanks Pekka! Do we have anybody else with an iphone or ipad who could check this for us?

What are we allowed to post about? Can we post about rep. or does it have to be related to technique?

Thanks!

Basically anything piano/piano technique/pianotechnique.org related as long as you post in appropriate channel.
