What can be said about her technique? Although her playing doesn't touch me particularly deeply, her orchestration is quite well even when playing some of the most difficult pieces. And her technique is quite secure that she plays those difficult pieces live. Her sound is also ''thicker'' than that of Hamelin, and arguably have more color (which is amazing considering she's just a medium-sized woman. I think there must be something to learn from her impressive technique. She never wear long sleeves which makes it easier to see how she uses her upper arm/forearm. Her hands aren't as active as Martha Agerich's, and her torso is certainly not as relaxed (with more unnecessary movements). However, I believe that other than a nervous system that has better coordination, she must be doing other things ''right''. Her fingerwork passages, thirds, etc are more impressive than her octaves, for example. but WHY? I only notice her forearm rotation is very pronounced at times.. perhaps to compensate for her small hands (I'm only guessing she has relatively small hands by looking at her archs when she plays octaves, which stands up much more in fingerworks or chords with closer interval.
