Hi, good to see you here!

Utterly Beautiful

I'm new to this forum, but have Alan's DVD and have just bought the 'All Thumbs' book. I find the Schubert on this video utterly captivating. Maybe for many it's pulled around too much, but the range of tone is phenomenal for such minimal physical movement. The fingers often head towards the straight, so I presume so much comes from the hand and forearm. The alignment seems always straight. No effort on the surface. I could watch this piece over and over again. Philip (UK)

This is Mozart K333 3rd movement. And yes it is beautiful, and to my mind not pulled around too much at all. That's how it SHOULD be played! AFF
