I hope you don't find it the ultimate in arrogance that I post this video here and not in the next category down!

I hope you don't find it the ultimate in arrogance that I post this video here and not in the next category down! Ah, come on! Stop being so modest, ! I enjoyed the clip throughout. Glad you could also capture some of the atmosphere and accoustics of that chapel in your video. Chapels are an ideal place to give concerts. Off topic: P.S.: I also liked your Liszt ballade. It has progressed in the simplicity of the narrator's story line alternating with the super-dramatic events in the piece. While it's a little dirty in places (the piece can bear that), it's also orgastic (if I may say so) in some of the virtuoso passages, which is exactly what Listz't music requires. I would wish a little more "shameless" here and there. I wonder what you think about, though, while playing the first broken octave figures (after the second night of Leander's swimming, when there's a party going on). I lose the feeling I'm watching a movie there. But all in all, way to go! Paul

I agree with you quite uncannily. Although I am quite happy with this performance, there are several moments where I succumb to that most idiotic of mind-sets, playing the piece the way it "should" be played instead of how your inspiration of the moment dictates. Those broken octaves are a case in point. Actually, the start of that whole section, the horn calls on the note 'A' - for some reason I like playing them soft, as if from a distance, instead of the but somehow got timid there and didn't do it... Oh well... Thanks for your comments! AFF
