A Pianist
hi everyone,
I'm from Hong Kong, and new to this forum. It's nice to found this forum!
First, about how I came to Alan fraser's book: I am a scientifically inclined person, but have a great passion in classical music (at the amateur level, of course) However, I started my piano education very late and have a poor technique. Since I tried many different books and advices and all of them failed to work, I was frustrated for many years, and I stopped playing piano for some years. The different schools are so contradicting, and more importantly: none of them really help me!!
However, I was still looking for an answer to my technique. Right before the release of "The craft of piano playing" in 2003, I found the website and get inspired by it very much. The theory is so consistent with everything I know. So I decided to have a try.
For the rest of the story, see my review on
Click on my name to see a partial list of what piano books I've tried. By the way, I hope my little review could help with the sales of the book!!
I had a personal mail sent to Alan fraser 1 year or so ago. He had a passion and ability to teach piano better than anyone else (especially on the physical aspects). Now this forum may allow the Alan Fraser's teaching to reach further! I am glad to see that.
