the sound on the DVD does not work on my computer, but the video part is fine. The computer is not on mute. My brother says it needs a driver to play the audio on the DVD. Does anyone know what driver it needs. thanks

Hi, What DVD player do you have? What OS are you running? Xp, Vista, Mac?

XP. I think the DVD player is called mplayerc? Yes that how its spelled. I think my brother got it off the internet. It works fine with all the other DVD's we have.

Try playing it in Windows Media Player and let me know what happens. That should work, but if doesn't download and install this player. It plays everything.

Another very good player (much better than media player), along with Vlplay is GOM. I think it is easier to operate than VL. CNET shows those two players to be the most popular and highest ranked players out there. And they are fee. GOM just passed VL this past week in popularity, # of downloads. Next week it'll probably be VL that's on top. GOM has the capabilities of playing just about every video and audio format (codec) out there, including the .flv files that are on Youtube. It can also let you skip ahead a few seconds, slow down or speed up, as well as go frame by frame. I don't have the link for GOM handy, but if you do a Google search, you'll find the homepage where you can download it. Or go to CNET.com, downloads, and find the media player section. Each of these players is far superior -- as players, to windows media player. You might also want to try Firefox out for your browser. It's much more secure and has many good things. In fact, MS's new browsers are looking more and more like Firefox. Bob in Provo,
