Clips From He Dvd

Does anyone know who the pianist is in the clip from the beginning of chapter 7??

I understand that the Gieseking is in the top photograph and Rubinstein is in the bottom photograph, but who is playing the piano on the right, with the blue shirt and the crazy hair??

It's a young Kemal Gekic. It says so in the liner notes. He's playing the third movement of the Chopin B minor sonata at the 1985 Warsaw International Piano Competition. he was 23.

Mr. Fraser, I do not want to appear rude, but unless I have a different copy of your dvd, it would appear the piece that Gekic is playing is not Chopin's B minor sonata. To be quite honest I am not sure what the name of the piece is, but I know I heard it before. Thank you for your response, and I enjoyed your dvd. Robert

Sorry for the mistake, you are right. The B minor sonata clip is before chapter two. This clip is the Chopin Prelude in E flat major. It should have gone before chapter 6 to illustrate rotation but somehow it ended up that chapter instead... silly mistake! AFF
